Who We Are

We believe that therapy is a collaborative process between you and your therapist. This process will assist you in resolving your specific needs, concerns, and will enrich your overall quality of life beyond just problem solving.

We believe, recognizing that our past is always a part of our present, helps us to understand how our earliest relationships and experiences have shaped our present selves, and most importantly, how to use this awareness to avoid repeating unhealthy patterns which undermine our ability to live happy, full lives.

We believe that it is essential to ask “what happened” rather that “what’s wrong with” you. The environment and systems that we are living in play a role in how we feel about ourselves and must be examined in order to heal and grow.

We are committed to social justice, racial equality, and are LGBTQIA+ affirming. As Marriage and Family therapist we are acutely aware of the impact of systems in our lives. We acknowledge the systemic racism and injustice that is present in our society. We advocate and work to promote justice both within and outside of the therapeutic space in order to create a more equitable future and world.

Land acknowledgement

We acknowledge that we live and practice therapy in Lenapehoking, the indigenous and expropriated territory of the Lanape, also known as the Lenni-Lenape or Delaware Indians. We acknowledge, honor, and respect the past, present, and future of the Lanape leaders and caretakers of this land and their resilience in the face of extreme injustice and colonization.
